A new identity for a new age
You, Castrol and our customers are experiencing exceptional change and our once in a generation brand refresh, signals that Castrol is set for the future. Castrol is ready to help you and your customers thrive.
We launched our new brand identity globally in March, as a response to the challenges posed by this changing environment. This new and modern look refreshes and strengthens our brand and will be seen across all of our communications channels, packaging and signage.
We have now launched the new identity in the UK - the start of a huge transition that will take years to complete. Any materials you receive from September will use our new logo and any new workshops that join our Castrol Service network will be branded by the new look and feel. A glimpse of what’s to come:

Same Castrol quality. New smart packs
Castrol's new smart packs feature clearer product labelling and identification of viscosity specification and engine types to help you choose the right product.
The new 5L bottle in Europe now uses 20% less plastic compared to the previous 5L bottle and, in Europe, the new small pack bottles would save 1,000 tonnes of plastic when compared to 2022 sales*. With the same product formulations in new smart packs, you can be sure of Castrol - The smart choice.

A simplified product range
At the same time as refreshing our brand identity, we have simplified our product names to reflect an easier to navigate product architecture. In summary:
• Castrol MAGNATEC STOP-START will transition to Castrol MAGNATEC
• Castrol MAGNATEC Diesel will transition to Castrol MAGNATEC
• Castrol EDGE Supercar will transition to Castrol EDGE
• Castrol GTX Ultraclean will transition to Castrol GTX

*Compared to the equivalent volume and mix of previous small pack shapes sold in Europe in 2022
We will be running a print and digital marketing campaign to explain the transition to new smart packs supported by communication through our website and social media channels.

Inclusive workshops: driving better business
In July, a study commissioned by Castrol, was released to help you and your customers thrive. We’re on a mission to help make sure that visiting an independent workshop is an
enjoyable experience for everyone, and believe that improving the customer experience at workshops can benefit both businesses and drivers. This study – which we hope will be the first of several – focuses on the experiences of women who have visited an independent workshop and the insights of workshop owners and managers. The Road to Inclusive Workshops identifies key learnings for you to consider to help drive better outcomes for both your business and your customers.
